Homeira's Yummy Yogurt Sauce

artSAVOR 75 is a requisite ingredient for this version of my creamy, tangy, smoky and versatile yogurt sauce. It is one of my BASICS, a refrigerator essential condiment with many uses. It is great for sandwiches, tacos, kabobs, steaks, seafood, poultry and crudités. As it does not include more perishable produce, it can be made in a larger quantity. It should last as long as the “Use by Date” of your dairy products, so make sure you use the freshest. The measurements are guidelines. If you want it thicker, use more sour cream or yogurt – thinner a bit more buttermilk. I tend to make it from what I have on hand. If I only have prepared horseradish, that’s what I use instead of creamy horseradish sauce. Make it your own! Get creative!

Dill, Parsley, Leek, Basil, Salt, Pepper, Herbs & Spices

About 3 Cups

INGREDIENTS

1C Strained yogurt
¾C Sour Cream
¼C Butter Milk, more if needed
¼C Creamy Horseradish, more if needed
¼C artSAVOR 75, already mixed in oil, more if needed (see directions below)

¼C Lemon Juice, freshly squeezed, more if needed
¼C White Wine Vinegar, more if needed
D Sea Salt and Pepper, freshly ground, to your taste
D Red Chili Pepper Flakes, Optional

KITCHEN ESSENTIALS

Mixing Bowl
Foodsafe Lidded Glass Jar

DIRECTIONS

Thoroughly combine all ingredients
Transfer to Lidded Glass Jar
Place in refrigerator and allow to sit for at least an hour or longer
Serve at room temperature

NOTES

Can be made up to 4 days ahead and reheated
Freezes well


artSAVOR MIXTURE

For even flavor in every bite, combine one entire package of artSAVOR with ¼C Olive oil.
Store unused mixture preferably in an airtight glass container in the refrigerator for future use.
artSAVOR blends mixed in oil will keep refrigerated for up to 90 days.
