CREATE may appear to be a collection of recipes, BUT I don’t cook in the traditional sense of the word. Even the word “recipe” feels restrictive and limiting. Every time I enter my kitchen — my culinary atelier — all of the elements I use to create from the ingredients to the pots, pans, knives, utensils, range and oven become my media. The serving plates are my canvas upon which I present my creations. From initial concept to plated art, the entire process is a journey of imagination and exploration. For me, the experience brings a sense of elation and euphoria, a form of transcendence embracing complete freedom.
